Shoulda Woulda Coulda

SHOULDA WOULDA COULDA
It’s a New Year and we are ALL looking at or putting in place new goals for 2017 and if you are looking back at 2016 and thinking:
- You should have done more live networking but you didn’t feel “ready” then get your elevator pitch sorted and get networking.
- If you thought you should have been more VISIBLE on your Social Media Platforms – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Instagram (wherever you have a presence) then step up and GET more visible on them.
(I could list a whole load of other examples but I think those already listed give you an idea on if you thought you should have done more of “something” when it comes to being in front of potential clients).
I know when I look back there is plenty more I should have done but didn’t for whatever reason and now is the time to make amends and you should too, I can’t remember Shoulda Woulda Coulda getting anyone anywhere and as the saying goes you don’t have to be 100% ready to show up and participate…does 100% even exist? I know I never feel it and really we should all just go for it as it’s truly “better an oopps than a what if”.
Now if you are unsure where your ideal clients are “hanging out” and where you should be VISIBLE (are your ideal clients using Social Media? are they networking?) then do your research, speak to your audience or speak to past clients and find out how or where they found you, if a recommendation then find out where it originated from…
Now it’s always good to manage your expectations before any activity, I would say don’t expect to go to one networking event and be set up with a large client base straight away or 10 referals (although I’m not saying this won’t happen), also don’t expect to put up a few posts, tweets and pins and your ideal clients to buy from you straight away (again this may happen), in order for those to buy from you you need to have a strategy in place and be consistent in order to build up like and trust first, think about it when was the last time you invested in a stranger? these things take an investment of time and effort.
So I’ll end by saying get clear on where your ideal clients are, make sure you are Seen and Heard there to ensure you are remembered and then booked! It’s simple – be Seen in the right places, be Heard by educating your audience (blogs / video etc) and you will be Remembered and you will get BOOKED!
It’s time to stop the “Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda” now is the time to
Need help then do get in touch to see how I can help you.
