Use What Scares You to Make You Stronger!

Having just been for a run (I’ve got some fitness goals I’m attending to!) I felt the need to write! You see 3 quarters of my way through my run I was starting to feel tired it had been a long day of hustle and juggle and at that moment of wanting to give up I was faced with a FOX. Now I don’t know why but for as long as I can remember they have absolutely terrified me, I’m smiling to myself as I write this as I haven’t heard of many stories of foxes attacking people in broad day light or night time for that matter but there you go!

Anyway as you can imagine my tired legs sped up at this point and I finished my run like a bat out of hell, probably completing it in record time. This situation got me thinking not for the first time that we should always use what scares us to make us stronger.

I know from clients or those that are in my network that they come across fear in doing what they need to do to give their business more visibility whether it’s confidence, worry of what others may think, rejection and the rest, well what’s the alternative?

  • An invisible business with no clients?
  • A business you are passionate about but it’s not making any money because no one knows about it?
  • Business death?

So for anyone who is struggling with any of the above reasons I really urge you in those moments of fear use it to push you further. Scared about going to a networking event then make sure you go. Scared about doing a video then do it. Scared of writing a blog then do it, whatever it is that is scaring you use it to make yourself stronger.

Think to yourself what’s the worst thing that can happen? Then think about what the best thing that can happen? As the saying goes the real magic happens when you step out of your comfort zone and shock horror this is absolutely true.

Now I can’t say I’m ever going to feel comfortable sharing a space with a fox but being in the presence of one today certainly made me stronger!
