7 Ways to Authentically Increase Your Visibility on a Shoe String Budget

7 ways to authentically increase your visibility on a shoe string budget.
Not everyone has a budget for Facebook adverts, Twitter promotions, advertising or annual networking memberships and that’s ok whilst you are building up your business there are plenty of ways to build up your visibility on a tight budget.
1. Refer a friend
Ask clients to refer a friend to you with an incentive for both of them. This will help you keep them as clients and will help create visibility for you to another potential client.
2. Networking
Attend networking events (that do not come with an annual membership fee) but before you do, do your research get in contact with the organiser and find out the format of the meeting, ask for a list of attendees to ensure it’s the right meeting for you. Before you attend have a clear idea about what you want to achieve from the meeting but do remember networking is about building relationships over a period of time.
Make sure you have a good pitch with personality prepared (it doesn’t have to be rocket science) so that you can stand out and be remembered for your expertise.
3. Events
Book a stand at a promotional event and speak to your audience directly, showcase your products or talk about your service directly with your potential ideal clients. Research to find suitable events and create a plan as to how you will stay in touch with the potential ideal clients you meet after the event.
4. E-marketing
Is a great way to keep in touch with your audience it’s straight forward, effective, and inexpensive. You can use platforms like Mail Chimp to design and create your e-marketing campaigns. Email may seem like a old fashioned way of contact when we have so many social media platforms to be visible on but it is vital and definitely shouldn’t be written off.
5. Facebook Groups
These are a great way to get known for what you do. Treat them as you would a networking meeting take time to build relationships, share valuable content and useful information. Facebook groups can also be a distraction so ensure you are in relevant groups (not too many!), ones that your target audience hang out. Each Facebook group has different rules so familirise yourself with them before you start posting most groups have a day for promotions. DO NOT POST SPAM – this will only damage your visibility, no one likes to see constant sales posts.
6. Joint Ventures
Double your visibility by teaming up with someone who compliments your business on a joint venture not only will you have something new for your target audience you will also be reaching out to the audience of the person you are dong the joint venture with.
7. Reach out to influencers
Make influential “friends” reach out to those who have a big audience ask if you could do a guest blog for them or if they would like to write about you, your services or products, make sure you have something really interesting for them to write about, have a story to tell.
So what will you do today to increase your visibility?
