We are at a time in the year when we all are thinking about the “New Year” goals we thought we wanted to achieve and now quite possibly at that point where for whatever reason action hasn’t been taken or you have but you are not seeing the results you expected.
Are you feeling like the list of goals as well as the to do list is MAHOOSIVE and quite frankly it all now seems an impossible task? A massive mountain to climb?!
Feeling like you have too much to do can have a massive impact on your mindset and your productivity – it can sometimes feel like your head is about to explode.
Because of this everything can get overwhelming very quickly resulting in nothing getting done at all and the feeling that achieving anything seems just impossible.
If you are at this point this is what should you do?
It’s time to STOP and SIMPLIFY!
STOP, take a break to clear your mind, start afresh by revisiting your goals and to do list, it’s time to re-evaluate your “New Year” goals (yes already!) and your list.
SIMPLIFY, looking at your goals are there too many to focus on right now? The same with your to do list, what is on the list that is actually going to help you achieve what you want? don’t be afraid to be harsh remove things that are not going to help you or your business goals. If it isn’t a necessity and it’s just something you think you might have to do then remove it. Sometimes we assume or we are made to think we have to do it all. It is really important to realise we are not all the same and know not everything is key to you or your own business success.
Once you have re-evaluated your goals (I would suggest you have no more than three goals at a time) and adjusted your to do list you should have more clarity on what you really want and how it can be achieved with a clear focus.
So there it is stop, simplify and you will be ready to take action, tackle that to do list and reach out for your goals.
